Daniel Nelson was born in Newport News and was raised in Toano, having graduated from Lafayette High School. He is a partner and the service manager at Nelson’s Heating and Cooling. He went to school and graduated from Universal Technical Institute in Houston, Texas. Dan has been working in the household technology industry since 2001 starting at a local residential HVAC company in Williamsburg. He was later motivated to start his own company and co-founded Nelson’s in 2004.
Dan currently lives in Williamsburg with his wife and recently welcomed a baby boy, Henry, into his life. They also have a 6 year old Jack Russell named Grady. As if the company were not family oriented enough, Dan, his two other brothers, Chris and Steven, and their parents, all live on the same street and attend Lifepoint Church together.
In his spare time, Dan loves saltwater fishing in the Chesapeake Bay. Recently he has picked up golfing and also plays on the company softball team in the Williamsburg Adult Recreation league. His favorite sport is baseball and he loves the Baltimore Orioles. He also plays the guitar and relaxes by listening to bluegrass and folk music.
